A closed-loop control system. The system begins with input R (s), then there is a summing junction, followed by point a, which is followed by a transfer function K, followed by point b, followed by transfer function 1 divided by s, followed by point c, followed by a summing junction with input V (s), followed by point d, followed by transform s, followed by point e, followed by output Y (s). The output Y (s) feeds back to a transfer function of 1 divided by the sum of s plus 1, which is followed by point f and then feeds back into input R (s).

All initial conditions of the system are equal to zero. What effect does the element between points a and b have on the signal, given that K is a constant?
